Another successful trenchless delivery for Western Sydney!

Bothar has successfully completed its trenchless tunnelling and shaft construction scope for Eire Constructions on the Cosgroves Creek Stage 1 North Wastewater Gravity Pipeline contract – delivered on schedule and achieving all critical program milestones without delay.
The project forms a vital link in Sydney Water’s Upper South Creek Networks Program, helping transport wastewater to the Advanced Water Recycling Centre at Kemps Creek, and supporting the continued growth of Western Sydney. The scope included:

300 linear metres of trenchless tunnelling across two 150 metre tunnel drives through medium to challenging siltstone rock formations.
Deployment of a Bothar Built EPB-TBM, custom-engineered and manufactured in-house to suit the project’s specific ground conditions.
Precision installation of OD1499 GRP gravity mains across both drives.
End-to-end design and delivery of secant pile shafts, providing robust, watertight launch and reception environments suited to the site’s geology.
Collaboration with piling specialist AnewX, who delivered the complex structural piling works on site.

The successful completion of this package demonstrates Bothar’s ability to bring together specialist trenchless technology, civil engineering, shaft construction and interface management under one coordinated delivery model.
From our in-house Bothar built tunnelling technology through to shaft engineering, specialist subcontractor coordination and final pipeline installation, the project showcased the value of an integrated approach.
A strong collaborative effort with Eire Constructions and AnewX, delivering another critical piece of infrastructure safely and on program.
